Linda has displayed courage I have rarely seen. I am in awe of her strength in making her decision. She truly loves her son.
This had to be the most emotional event of my life. The adrenolin was high preparing for the meeting, and the tears flowed when we all stood there and Linda put her son in my arms. Linda was supported at this meeting with her aunt, cousin, and friend, Michele. Rachel and Gabrielle were with me for support and to take pictures and video clips for Brian. I was a mess in my attempt to express my respect and gratitude for allowing us to raise her son.

Dear Rachel,
I cannot tell you what a privilege it was to witness the beginning of your journey as a mother. Being in the presence of you, your son, Linda, his cousin, and the other women in that room as you opened your arms to receive him...well, words cannot describe how powerful that was. When I got home, I kept watching the video clips over and over again. I can hardly wait to see Brian with your son. He will be a proud and loving Dad.
I cannot tell you how happy I am for the two of you!
